Artimelt – Walter Stampfli as new CEO

SWITZERLAND • The Swiss hotmelt company appointed Walter Stampfli as its new CEO. Stampfli has 19 years of experience in the global adhesives industry. The appointement is effective January 1, 2017. In April 2016, Collano, Nolax and Emerell has combined their hot-melt activities by creating Artimelt AG.

Most recently, Stampfli worked for Henkel in his capacity as General Manager Industrial Adhesives, where he was responsible for the adhesives used in engineered wood applications.

Previously, Walter Stampfli was General Manager at Purbond, the specialist in polyurethane adhesives for the engineered wood industry. Prior to his tenure with Purbond, he was employed by Collano as a Region Head. In 2016, Collano and nolax bundled all hotmelt activities within LAS Holding and migrated them to the new artimelt competence centre. Artimelt serves markets for medical, label, tape, packaging, graphics, security and building applications.

The hot melt competence centre Artimelt AG and has been operational since April 2016. Its headquarters are located at the production site of Collano in Sursee, Switzerland. The family-run company has been active in the adhesives business since 1947 and is the sixth subsidiary of LAS Holding.
