Grafisk Maskinfabrik – Lamination module and laser die-cutter at Xeikon Café

With the CD330Hybrid, labels can be made on the laser whereas longer runs or difficult materials can be processed on the conventional semi-rotary die cut module

BELGIUM • The company’s in-register lamination module will show the advantages of access to the full web width providing increased production capacity and flexibility in the multi-layer label design and size. Tool-less finishing of digitally printed self-adhesive labels will be demonstrated by their DC330Hybrid laser die cutter.

The in-register lamination unit utilizes the full web with providing efficient production of multi-layer labels. Full servo control ensures best register between the top and bottom layer, and the system automatically controls web tension and register, while providing instant feedback to the user on the built-in touch screen.

To counter the challenges of smaller runs and shorter lead times, GM offers the DC330Hybrid laser and die combo converter. With this system, labels can be made on the laser whereas longer runs or difficult materials can be processed on the conventional semi-rotary die cut module. This system is a perfect partner for a digital press, and is also a good example of “Industry 4.0” automation where the press and the finishing machine are tightly connected.
