MPS – Hexxa Flexible Packaging buys flexo press

UAE • The first MPS sale into the United Arab Emirates was announced by MPS. The company delivered a flexo press to Hexxa Flexible Packaging LLC, a printer in Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. The 10-colour, 430 mm (16.92″) EF multi-substrate press is equipped with an automated print control (APC) package for full automation, UV dryers and four hot air units.

Raja Gandhi, managing director and owner of Hexxa Flexible Packaging, states: “We needed a narrow web flexo press to offer more competitive prices on shorter print runs. MPS offered the highest European quality machine, proven in a demonstration at their headquarters in the Netherlands.”

With MPS’ focus on the operator, a full-service interactive training program for Hexxa’s press operators was included in the press purchase. New to flexo, the operators were trained and operating the new EF multi-substrate press in just days.

Hexxa is a printing company that specializes in printing and converting of flexible packaging, mainly using rotogravure printing technology. With their new MPS flexo press, Hexxa is set to achieve higher productivity in shorter print runs. Hexxa offers PVC and PET shrink sleeves, OPP labels, solventless laminates up to 3 layers, and a range of film required for the food, beverage and cosmetic industry. According to the company customers of Hexxa includes brands such as PepsiCo, Danone Morocco, Nestlé, Kraft, Heinz Africa & Middle East and Coca Cola Kuwait.

On January 24 and 25, 2017 Hexxa Flexible Packaging will show their new MPS EF 430 press during an Open House at their Ras Al Khaimah premises.
